suggest libraries for graphics programming in gcc


i am studying computer graphics . when i was using window then for making program. i was using turbo c++ compiler and graphics.h API.But now i shifted to linux please tell me what library to use in gcc for graphics programming in c++language in linux....
Please suggest some tutorial links for the same.....

It would have been great if you had mentioned which GNU/Linux you currently use. Perhaps, Ubuntu?

If so, you can follow an introductory tutorial on the following URL to start graphics programming under Ubuntu Linux (or Debian GNU/Linux based distributions).

This is a good book which covers all such things:

You will want to read up on the GTK and Qt toolkits. One difference is that the licensing for Qt is more restrictive.

What graphic do you want ?
- If you want GUI programming then Gtk and Qt must be the good choice.
- If you want something like graphic for game then SDL (http://www.libsdl.org/) is the great choice. There are many library based on SDL, include library for primitive drawing like line, circle ..
