How does the krb5.keytab get updated after a net ads keytab create - U ??

What are the processes behind the maintenance of a krb5.keytab after it's been created, via a net ads keytab create -U <appropriateUsername> ?

As in, what are the processes on the linux box side. Let's say it receives instruction from the KDC (if the KDC is on a Windows Server 2003 domain) that it needs updating - what happens at this point on the Linux side?

(What processes are used in the linux box? Does it depend on how the box was joined to the domain - eg if you joined the domain via winbind and have a krb5.keytab set up for apache to use, will winbind still interact with /etc/krb5.keytab to assist the KDCs in updating it?)
