how do you change the main menu (right click on desktop) for xfce?

I can go to settings > menu editor, but this doesn't let me change any of the application launchers, only things like terminal, web browser, etc. Is mine just broken or what?

No, that is how it is supposed to work (unfortunately). All of the applications are auto-generated from .desktop files that XFCE finds.

You can either directly modify the .desktop files (which is rather annoying) or simply remove (or hide) the "system" entry in the Menu Editor, and then put all of the programs in manually however you like. This takes the longest, but will give you complete control over everything.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the 2nd method, but the system entry doesn't even show up in the menu editor. Everything between Accessories and System do not show up for some reason(which is pretty much mostly what the end user would want to modify, go figure :-/ ). I guess I'll have to edit the menu manually :(. Oh well... Thanks for the help though man.
