What distribution are you using? What do you want to update?

Install APT. This is the same as the Debian package manager, but is for rpm based distros like Fedora and Red Hat.

Install it using the instructions on the site and then install, uninstall and upgrade to your heart's content.

hi,
redhat 9 bugs security fixes, can they be automatically loaded, or opened then loaded.

Security and bug fixes are normally sent to you in an email, they can then be downloaded from RedHat directly. At least, they can until RH stop doing it later this year. ;)

Use apt as XavierP said. It will download and install all the updates needed except for new kernel versions. Its a great program and its what I use on my redhat machines.
