Install ssh on your server(system)

i have my server running ssh and i can log in from anywhere.

even from my crappy win boxes at school. Just use the putty client which is less then 500kb! no installing or anything. just one exe.

and most linux boxes have the ssh client on them so....

Do you have a static ip on your linux box? you will have to have some way to know what to connect to whether that be a static ip or domain name, also if you have something like dsl you will need to set up the router to forward ssh requests to your linux box ip, I don't know if any of this applies to you but I thought I might mention it in case you run into problems
