I've installed Everybuddy, and it just doesn't work. In fact I'm having problems with all IM chat clients since Gaim upgraded to .75.
I'm not sure how to get rid of all the everybuddy files now. I get acess denied if I try to delete them one by one.
It was installed from a tar.gz file.
How do I rid my system of it????
THanks
Some install directions have uninstall directions, so check the Install directions in the program directory first. If you are root you should be able to delete them one by one with rm filename, or kill a whole directory with rm -R dirname
I looked at the installation "readme", and still haven't found an Unistall document???
I'll try the root rm, but I thought there would be an easier way that to go one by one deleting the files.
I was wondering. The directory in in my Home/Documents/Usr directory. Can I delete the whole Usr directory or would that cause problems. I''m not sure it it was there before I unpacked the file or if it created it???
jsut type make uninstall, if that dotn work type make -n install > log that should giv u a lsit of were the files were installed, just su to user 0 and delet them one by one
