How do I skip/jump to a "particular place" or "specified time/second" in mplayer?
Hi,
how do I skip to a particular second/frame *while* watching a video in mplayer?

I don't think you can while watching, but you can use -ss to seek to any point in the movie. e.g. mplayer file.avi -ss 23:22 would be 23 minutes and 22 seconds in.
Not what you're after I know....

Hi,
The only way to jump (forward/backward) during play is to use these:
Code:
<- and -> Seek backward/forward 10 seconds.
up and down Seek forward/backward 1 minute.
pgup and pgdown Seek forward/backward 10 minutes.
While starting mplayer you can use -ss (and possibly -endpos).
Hope this helps.
