How do I set up BIND (named) to be a dns server for another computer?

I want to run CentOS in a virtual machine on a windows server host so that the dns server on centos will be the primary dns server and the MS dns server will either be secondary or internal or just disabled (I don't know which yet). However, I am a bit confused. Which computer would I need to put the FQDN in the zone files? Would it be the windows machine or the centos machine?

I think I figured it out, I'll make a forward a d reverse zone file for the virtual machine and then I'll make another set for the windows host? That would work yes?
