How do I run bookworm on Linux?

I need to get the whole family off windows. So I need to know how I can get my mom running bookworm on Linux. It doesn't matter what flavor I will get the ISO no problem just needs to be something that runs comfortably on 128mb of RAM. I kinda like Mepis and SUSE, but anything nix will do, please let me know what flavor and what to do. I know it has to work because this cat had a review on planet geek where he had tested bookworm on Debian/Firefox. Also we use Opera not mozilla in this house, is this possible too? Thank you in advance.

My bad update to question

Ok bookworm runs fine with mozilla I have seen a post on problems with opera and java so my real issue is this: 128mb of RAM on my mom's computer, what distro do I use where she can watch movies/shows from guba with avi extensions and something similar to VLC media player and play bookworm?

Dear Salah-ad-din,

You can get your family off windoze. First, what I will recommend you to is to get a RAM upgrade. Otherwise with 128 MB, you will not be able to get the power you need from SuSE nor MEPIS. Try to upgrade at least 512. CPU speed do not matter much. I was comfortably running SuSE 9.3 on an P3 500 with 384 MB of RAM.

Edit: You can try DSL (Damn Small Linux) on your machine. Follow this thread: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=400680

You can run bookworm (if this is the Java game) on Linux [I tried a couple of mins ago]. With a Java platform you will not have a problem.

Lastly, Linux is full of choices: if you want Opera but not Mozilla, then go with it. But support Firefox ;-)

Regards.
