A friend was using my computer for burning CD's , seemed harmless I noticed I no longer had the project view which I couldn't get back, then noticed I couldn't burn ISO's anymore. Through K3B or gnome-toaster, but can burn MP3's fine, I dunno, is there a hidden dir somewhere I can delete to restore to default? This SUX!
I don't know if this is the same, but my project view is behind the k3b window, try moving the window or minimizing it and see if it is there. As far as burning isos try Tools -> CD -> Burn CD ISO Image
You can reset K3B to defaults by deleting ./kde/share/config/k3b.rc file in your home directory. I had a problem with KsCD and K3b when updating to 10.0 as they picked up the old config files - KsCD would lockup on the insertion of an audio CD!
