how do i open the program of the rpm i just installed?


Hey...I just installed an rpm of KcmPureftpd, a gui for pure ftp for KDE. I double clicked the file and it installed it but now what do i do to access the installed file?! Thanks

you have two options usually. the program should be in your path, try from a terminal typing KcmPureftpd or at least starting to type "kcm" or something and hitting tab (assuming you're in bash). The other option is that the program was added somewhere in your KDE programs menu, but I don't use KDE so I can't help much there. Finally if you still can't find it, check the website for the program and see if there's any reference to what the executable file is called. once you know that type in in the terminal. Once you know which one works, make a shortcut icon for it in KDE so it's like your other programs that you use through the KDE icons.
