how do I make httpd a process that runs on startup


I just installed Fedora on my server, and I configured httpd to work right, now I need to know how to make the process load on startup.

rc-update add apache2 (or whatever you have) default

it tells me that rc-update isn't a command

redhat-config-services or system-config-services

Select httpd/apache there

It's been a while since I used a Red Hat system, but if I remember correctly it's

chkconfig --level 35 <servicename> on

the 3 and 5 are the runlevels you want the service enabled in by default.
