how do I log a administrator or root


I try ti make folders and it won't let me do it becouse i dont have permissions.

Enter the "su" command followed by the root password in a terminal such as xterm or konsole.

when you say make folders, that sounds like you want to make them in the GUI. To do that you will need to log in as root.

how do I do that?
it prompt me for the password on the root but it only stay for 2 to 4 seconds and not enough time to put the password and then it continues with the boothing.

so your system is booting into the terminal, not you gui?
