How do I host Email on my server?

I am trying to host email on my server. I have a FQDN, Qpoper is installed (not sure if it working right). I am able to use fetchmail to get mail from my email server hosted by my ISP. But I want to have a local email server for my users to send email withing and outside my network.

You'll need at least at minimum:

1. Domain Name (including MX records on DNS for your mail server)
2. Mail Application/Daemon (example: sendmail, postfix, qmail, and so on)
3. POP3 or IMAPD daemons
4. Broadband for fast connections, etc
5. And at least minimum port 25 open. (also helps if you allow remote access for other users to have port 143 open if using IMAP and or 110 for POP3)

Cheers..
