How do I get k3b to use ALSA rather than arts?

I have k3b 1.0.4 and KDE 3.5.6 on my SuSE 10.0 system.
Whenever I try to play any songs from k3b, I get nothing, it does not work. My system uses ALSA for sound and that works great for my apps like, xmms, xine, Amarok [using the xine engine], etc.

I know that k3b uses arts for playing sound but like I said, that does not seem to work. I can make music CD's just fine though. I just can't play anything from k3b.

From the k3b menubar;
Settings-->Configure k3b--Misc System select the alsa output in Used output system section.

I had been looking for that but just couldn't find it. I did as you said and now playing music from k3b works nicely.
