How do I Delete Linux?

I have a screwed up installation of Mandriva Linux. I've tried to reinstall over it, but the new installation picks up some of the settings, and apparently, some of the problems of the previous installation. I want to wipe out everything I can within the Linux partition and then install a different distribution of Linux.

How can I do this?

Try to do another install of Mandriva. This time, re-format the partitions and any settings you did have will be wiped.

1) Log in as root
2) Unmount any network shares and/or drives you want to keep
3) type "cd /"
4) and then "rm -r *"
5) Sit back and enjoy

just format the partition that you installed linux to
