How do I cross-compile/distcc for FreeBSD/i386 on Linux/amd64?

Hello,

I'm running FreeBSD 9.0-RELEASE i386 on one of my machines. Since it is quite slow, using ports is a torture for the user. So I thought about distcc. But it doesn't compile, so I think I need a cross-compiler. The two systems that shall run distccd run Fedora 16 and Ubuntu 11.10, both amd64.

I hope that someone will be able to help me.

EDIT: Someone told me that I didn't say it clearly, so: I'm able to compile distcc itself, but distcc only compiles on localhost, not on the other machines.
