How could I install the firefox-1.0-installer-tar-gz?

I download the tarball,then I extract all the things I need from it.
I executed the firefox-installer-bin,but the error occurred,it displayed in the screen as following:
DLError: /tmp/xpi.dQ8xDJ/bin/libxpistub.so: undefined symbol: _ZN12nsCharTraitsI

did you su, then ./configure && make && make install?

That should be all there is to it. You use

tar xfvz firefox-1.0-installer-tar-gz

to unzip it then cd to the firefox-installer directory and then type

./firefox-installer

Not sure why that would not work as the firefox install is a very easy one...

I logined as root.
The problem is not permission,but it seems there need something......
