How can i paste MathML formula into OpenOffice document?

I read this article: http://www.robweir.com/blog/2006/08/...l-and-odf.html
I also tried OOLatex extension.
Former is good in the fact that i can edit the formula after inserting it into the document. Latter is good in that i don't have to ZIP/UnZIP anything to insert the formula.
Actual question: how can i (if i can) paste (import, etc.) MathML expression into OpenOffice document so that i can edit it afterwards, and so that i don't have to hack into the document file?

Have you tried copying the MathML formula and inserting it into the OpenOffice document as an object? You should then be able to use Edit - Object to edit the formula.

How can i do this? I tried Insert->Object, there i see "Formula". If it's what you say, then it's not MathML formula. It has some different syntax. The problem is to convert LaTeX or MathML expression to OpenOffice-syntax formula.
