How can I know the path installed ?(skype)


I just installed skype and was told that it has been installed. However, I don't know the path and how can I run it ?

maybe do a system-wide search?
in a terminal, logon as root then type:

updatedb

that may take a bit (it creates a database of everything on your hard-drive).
when its finished, type:

locate skype

you will be presented with the path of any file containing the word "skype" in it.

A faster method would be:
Quote:
$which skype
which will probably return something like
Quote:
/usr/bin/skype
