How can I know hdd free space ?

Hello everyone.

Is there any system call or c library function that returns how much
free space remains in a hard disk ?

I know that I can get it through "df" command. Any other way for this ?

Thanks,
JL

I don't program anything for linux, but, my guess is df pulls what it wants from something in the /proc. You can probably do the same in your program.

WMdf does exactly that. Nice app to keep track on /var /home etc.
