how can i draw diagrams fast?


hello,
i'm writing my first tex document.
i'd like to draw some graph/diagram in it.

for example,
this is a tcp state transition diagram.

basically, i want to draw this kind of diagram fast..

any suggestions?

Hello,

you should also check the latex environment picture and relatives (epic, eepic etc).

If you want to do something really demanding, metapost may be your friend.

Both of these are more like programming you figures, as is latex.
