How can I convert video files into mp4

Hello,

Could someone please help me converting some wmv files into mp4 format. I tried some ffmpeg and mencoder commands that I found in this forum but they gave me some errors.

Code:

basel@linux:~/temp/gsv> ffmpeg -i gensosuikosiden_web.wmv -f psp -r 14.985 -s 320x240 -b 768 -ar 24000 -ab 32 M4V00001.MP4
FFmpeg version CVS, Copyright (c) 2000-2004 Fabrice Bellard

Hi,

A friend of mine told me he uses transcode for this kind of job.

I hope this can help you,

You might try this command, i found it on some random site. I have personally tried it and i know it works. I think the problem your having is with the frame rate. it has to be just right to work with the psp.
ffmpeg -i Video.avi -f psp -r 29.970030 -b 768 -ar 24000 -ab 64 -s 320x240 M4V00001.MP4
