How can i convert a .123 file to xls using ssconvert

How can i convert a .123 file to xls using ssconvert from gnumeric.
I tried this but it failed. What am I missing ?
I need to do a bulk conversion , so I need to use a command line utility to do this.

If you're going to xls does that mean you want to use it in Excel? If so doesn't Excel have an import feature for Lotus 123 files?
