How Can I COMPLETELY Remove Sound Juicer & Brasero ?

Sound juicer and Brasero are not loading up. Therefore, I want to COMPLETELY remove them and traces of their files in the hopes that I can do a fresh install of them. I tried uninstalling the programs through Synaptics and terminal, but that didn't help. How can I TOTALLY remove these programs?

apt-get --purge remove <packagename>

or

aptitude purge <packagename>

depending on which you use.

http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Apt-get

purging a package removes the package and any configuration files for that package. simply removing a package leaves behind all the config files.

farslayer, this is what I get when I purge brasero and reinstall:

x@xx:~$ brasero

(brasero:14095): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory 48x48/mimetypes of theme Snow-Apple has no size field

Segmentation fault
x@xx:~$

What should I do now?

This is a long shot, but try changing your GTK theme to something else (the system default) and try running Brasero again.
