How can I change the key-map in a specific keyboard language?
I want to use the Bengali(Bangladesh) keyboard layout in Fedora core 6. But the default key-board layout doesn't match the layout I use in Windows. How can I change the key-map so that I can create a new layout with customized keys?

http://www.bengalinux.org/documents/...mini-howto.php http://www.bengalinux.org/howto/bengali.html#KEYBOARD ... they seem a tad out of date, you will probably use xorg now instead of xfree86. But bengalinux.org looks very helpful. You can create custom keyboard layouts using xkb: http://hektor.umcs.lublin.pl/~mikosm...youts-xkb.html |
What dekstop are you using?
With kde I setup the language on the kcontrol from the keyboard layout, but I do not know if the bengalese option is available |
