More

More information would be useful.

How have you burned it to cd?

What have you tried already?

Did you read the instructions on Gentoo's site?

Also, a more descriptive thread title will assist people when deciding whether to answer your question.

I've burned it with NERO 6 ==> I've used the BURN IMAGE mode, then i put the cd-rom in the disk drive, the Gentoo is booting, the bootsplash starts, but then I think that I have to install it with commands, but I don't know then, I've only configured the eth0 "net-setup eth0" and that's all, can't go to select the packages for the installation=((

This is a link to the Gentoo documentation page. This is a link to the Installation section.

I can only suggest you read through it first. I have never installed Gentoo myself, but reading other posts, it seems a long(er) and more involved installation that RedHat or Mandrake.

I suggest you print out the old installation manual (there's a newer one but I think this one is a lot better). Every single command you need to type is in there.

Gentoo is not for the faint of heart and if you're new to Linux it may be a tad too much, but it doesn't hurt to try (as long as your data is backed up).
