horde/imp configuring

Hallo all

I've just installed horde and imp. Now I'm trying to configure the stuff. It creates it's database, now how does it work from here?

I would like it to have a set number of users who's allowed to use the system. server is fixed as the same server which runs the imp system. also, I have to use pop3 for now (yes imap is coming at some point). usernames do not need to be the same as the usernames for the pop3 accounts does it? Nor for passwords?

How does the tables in the database work?

imp_addr
imp_prev
auth_user
auth_user_md5

Thanks for any help.
