High CPU usage with kded

Hi,
I'm running LM 2007 free on an Athlon 2200 with 1 Gig RAM, Matrox Millennium graphics and an MSI m'brd.
A few minutes after I login the CPU usage goes through the roof and stays there 40% - 99%). The problem seems to be with "kded" (command kded[kdeinit] --new-startup) The HDD also works very hard at this time.
If I use ksysguard to stop this process it does not seem to effect the machine.

Any ideas,

Seanfitz

Problem seems to be solved - by trial and error.
I disabled Kat - Kat Desktop search in KDE Service Manager and the CPU usage dropped to normal.
