hierarchical notes.

can anyone suggest a good one? I use tuxcards, but it is really basic and so easy to lose data, which is counter-productive.

Thanks.

There are literally dozens of choices out there. A quick google search or two should turn up a good selection. This page, for example, lists many of the more popular ones.

I've personally been using kjots myself, simple and quick. But I'm interested in zim; a wiki-based system could be rather useful.

Finally, there is, as always, a Wikipedia page on the subject:

I've tried Tomboy, which I really liked, but the memory usage did tend to grow exponentially, and kjots, which has a limited hierarchy and I've lost data in an update (nothing vital...while I was still playing with it), so I'll have a look at some of the others mentioned in David the H.'s link, but both Tomboy and kjots are workable, with some limitations.

thanks, i have decided to go with BasKet. Seems decent, lacks a major feature though; i will raise another thread.

Thanks.
