Hibernate in KDE on FC 6?
Hi there,
I'm still new to linux, and I wanted to ask you guys something regarding FC6. Well, I just wanted to know if there was some way to get the hibernate option in the KDE environment. (I cant get the hibernate option while shutting down from KDE, but it works rather well from GNOME) Can anyone please help? |
login as root
start ked bring up KDE Control Center ckick on Session Manager turn on Confirm logout turn on Offer shutdown Options ckick on apply that may do it for you I don't have software suspend installed so it may show up as an opption in the session manager menu for you or it may show up when you go to logoff but this is where you would set it as an option |
Hi Rob,
Thanks for the input. But then those options were already checked when I saw them. However, I've solved the problem by installing Kpowersave. I gives me the option to suspend the system when I want to. Thank you anyway. |
