help with running a java app


OK
i need help running a java app i can do it in windows but not in linux
i am running mandrake linux 9.1 and i have download the sdk java RPM from sun but that only runs java in mozilla

in windows i just put this code in a .bat file and run it
java -cp mudclient177.jar;.;pircbot.jar -noverify Main /T "RuneScape - by Jagex Limited" /notop

is there any way i can do something like that ?

if any one has any think that would help me please post it plzz

but how do i run it java app do i do it in konsole or somthing

.class are NOT supposed to be there when you try to run a program, take a closer look at what i write.

Also, java and javac is good to have in your path (es described in the thread Tinkster refers to). If you donīt have it in your path you have to run everything from /usr/local/j2sdk/bin or where ever you installed it.

yep. you have to have the sdk bin directories in your environment path (something that an 'rpm' should do for you). running a command like "export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/j2sdk/bin" would do this.
i have also noticed that you have used the command 'Java' in loading your class. just of curiosity, do you know that the linux shell is case-sensitive??
