Help with quake3
 

The video graphics for quake3 run super slow for me. I have tried the various settings offered by quake to no avail. I can run Counterstrike unreal and other games but this is the one that gives me problems. any help is appreciated.

quake3 is only playable in accelerated mode. cs and ut (not ut2003) can be played in software rendering mode too. q3a not. make sure you have opengl support and an accelerated graphics card with current drivers.

Thanx I have also noted that the laptop I originally played on was swapped with another. since I keep the more important linux drive with me it noticed the new vid card and wouldn't play. sorry bout the late post
