Help with Mandrake 9.1 and GNOrpm
I recently installed Linux :newbie: and had no idea on how to install RPM's then when i was cleaning out my basement I found my brother old copy of Red Hat Linux 7 Fast and Easy I looked thru it most of the stuff in there was usless although it did tell me how to install RPM's, using GNOrpm sadly I cant find this program on my HD :cry: . Is there any other way? or is it there and I just cant find it?

As root, try this command and see what happens:
urpmi gnorpm # Mandrake links Mandrake home page Mandrake Users website Easy urpmi config for Mandrake urpmi mini-HOWTO Easy software management: Red Carpet Maximum RPM rpmfind You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command: urpmi gcc Install Midnight Commander by commanding: urpmi mc |
Boot disc
Is there anyway that i can put my Linux install disc in a windows rig and make a boot disc for the linux computer (the floppy on my linux machine is blown. And i didnt put the dev package on is that where GNOrpm is?

The Mandrake Users website has a documentation page that covers Mandrake's emergengy recovery proceedure. Have you checked there as I suggested?
