help with .exe file plz
 

i wanna install a .exe and a .rmp file on my linux box.
can anyone show me step by step how to install the file plz?

you can't run exe files under unix, it's not possible (exlucing wine, which is not the issue). use windows. no idea what an rmp is. do you mean rpm? if so search this site and check the rpm manpage (type "man rpm" in a terminal window)

sorry, yes, you are rite, i mean rpm.

i know i have to type a script in a terminal window to install rpm package, but i have no idea where the terminal is. I dont even know what it looks likes. can you tell me where it is?

well it depends what desktop manager you are using. there's more than one way to skin a cat, but there's more than a thousand ways to do anythign in linux... if it's KDE (ICK!!!) there should be a program called Konsole in your menu's somewhere which will giev you a big black window and nothing else. that's a terminal. alternatively look for gnome-terminal, aterm, xterm, Eterm and many many others. There's probably some software amanger on your system somewhere to, but you've not given an information on what distro you are using etc...
