Help with a port 25 redirection service, DynDNS, and Thunderbird...

I am trying to receive and send e-mail with my box. So I set up sendmail using a tutorial and it worked for when I wanted to send mail. Other people can get the mail that I send them using Thunderbird and will say it is from root@cosmotron.homeip.net. I got the cosmotron.homeip.net from DynDNS and then I got a port 25 redirection service from Rollernet. Rollernet said in order to redirect my mail I would have to add one of their servers (mail.rollernet.us) as my mail exchanger. So I go back to my DynDNS account and add that server as my "Mail exchanger" (I entered 'mail.rollernet.us.').

Back to the Rollernet account. I created an smtp redirect and it asked for my "Domain", "Server", and "Port." I entered this: "cosmotron.homeip.net", "cosmotron.homeip.net", and "72". After this I go to my routers Port Forwarding page and forward port 72. I am then thinking, "wow, this should work now." Little to my suprise it didn't.

When I went to Thunderbird I added my account using "cosmotron.homeip.net" as my server, "root" as my username, and my ISPs mail server for the SMTP server (this is the reason I have to do all of this, they block port 25 so I have to use their server). I then send out an e-mail to some other e-mail account of mine and I received it, then I replied and I never got it. When I clicked on Get Mail, it prompted me for a password so I entered my root accounts password; it tells me "Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server cosmotron.homeip.net responded: Authentication failed (bad password?)."

At this point I am stumped because at the Rollernet site it logs all activity from that redirect server and my host and it seems to connect because it said the client "Accepted" the connection at the times when I attempt to get my mail. Sorry for the lengthy post but I had to explain my situation and I hope that someone here will be able to help me.
