HELP wanted! IP aliases in SUSE 9

Hi guys.
I posted this question week ago.
I start the same thread because there were 0 reply for this topic.

May be this time somebody who knows this issue will answer.

I think it's really important to make IP aliases working.
It works perfectly under Red Hat. On Suse the directory structure is a bit
different for network configuration and no any files for ip aliases by default.
I tried to create the same files as on RH (ifup-aliases ifdown-aliases eth0-range0: )
when restart network service it looks OK.
But I can't ping aliase ip.

thanks.
Michael.

To root:
I promise I will not ask again the same question

May be when Suse guys will participate on this super forum.

Perhaps no one replied because you didnt bother to list what network service your trying to use. Or if you used Yast to try to set it up instead of manually trying, or if you tried setting up the suse instead of the redhat...

IP aliases is not a service. Additional IP configuration.

There is nothing in YAST since no aliase configuration files.

Anyway at least one reply

Thanks.
