HELP: vsftpd in Debian

I've installed the "vsftpd" in Debian by apt-get.
Modify the inetd.conf and let the system listen to the port.

When a client "ftp" the machine, a message is out about
the "tunable_ftp_username".

So, what should I do to make it work?

Thanks.
