If you are having trouble with FC6... don't panic. This is normal.

If this doesn't work, I don't know what will:
Code:
...
Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Videocard0"
Monitor "Monitor0"
DefaultDepth 24
SubSection "Display"
Viewport 0 0
Depth 24
Modes "1680x1060" "1600x1200" "1600x1024" "1440x900" "1400x1050" "1280x1024" "1280x960" "1280x800" "1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection
EndSection
...
Honestly, FC6 is not a -friendly distro. You will have much less trouble with kubuntu than FC6.

Um... people running FC6 should know by now not to use the nvidia drivers from the nvidia site - instead they should use the drivers from the livna repository (i.e. use yum).
http://www.fedorafaq.org/#nvidia

Similarily, yum can be used to install beryl - from the extras repository.
# yum install beryl-gnome (or beryl-kde ... depending)
http://wiki.beryl-project.org/index....ll/Fedora_Core
