help on installation softwares
 

Hi buddies!

i am new to linux, and currently install fedora core 5.
I downloaded certain softwares but whenever i want to install him it gives some list of messages saying files are missing which are required for this installation.

i have downloaded rpm packages, so can any body tell me how i will know that this software need this package so that i can download this too.

from last day, i am looking for chm viewer which i get kchmviewer, but no success in installation.

for installation i use command: rpm -ivh "file name"

please guide me ... also i will be greateful if there is any site, where complete software is present along with their dependent file.

Support for FC5 was dropped years ago. There will be no new updates for it of any kind. Fedora 10 was released recently. I would suggest you upgrade to a supported version.
