Hi...

I am trying to implementing oracle 10g database server on my white box enterprise linux 3.0......I have followed Warner Puschitz's documentation on oracle 10g installation and been successful in that. However, oracle installer displayed few URL's at the end of the install process from where I could manage my database server...for instance

http://dbserver:5500/em
for Enterprise Manager Database control

http://dbserver:5560/isqlplus
for iSQL*Plus Management......and so on...

However, when I try to access these URL's I get a "The connection was refused while attempting to connect with........."....I have tried stopping the iptables service, but that dosent help....I scanned my system using nmap, but ports 5500 and 5560 arent open....

Can anyone help me access these URL's???

How do i open ports 5500 , 5620 etc?? I have stopped iptables firewall, but i guess tthere would be a service which needs to be started, that will open ports 5500, 5620 on my PC....how do i know which is that service ??

Has anyone been thru a similar situation too? can anyone direct me to a link which could address this issue ??
