Angry Help needed infuriatingly

I have a major problem in that I can't seem to run any Opengl application whatsoever. The problem started after installing the latest Nvidia drivers for my geforce4. The programs ran before I installed the driver, but slowly as you'd expect when no hardware acceleration is used.

Now they just appear on the taskbar as if they are loading, but never get anywhere, and eventually terminate.

The only thing I can think of is that I have used a program called rivatuner in order to force antialiasing settings in windows, but this should only affect direct3d settings.

This has been going on for a while, and I am getting exasperated as no solution has presented itself. It would help if I got some error messages, but nothing.

Heh. Solutions usually don't present themselves, they're born in pain, forged in fire and can only be summoned by the right incantations.

Bring out the garlic and wooden stakes and post any details wrt overclocking/cooling, BIOS/AGP settings, NVidia driver version and module.conf settings, HW, refreshrate and other tweaks, and your XFree config and the /var/log/Xfree.* output from starting X as "startx -- -logverbose 9". Hope that get's someone's attention.
