Help, my PC hates Windows!!!

I downloaded a virus onto my old PC, It erased a required file of the Windows 2k Pro on it(skrnl.exe) Since it refuses to allow a Windows system to install or reformat for that matter, I thought I'd trip it up and install linus on the mofo. Problem, I don't know how to get linux to install via boot disk(which I do not know how to make), Please help me!!!

if you are just trying to format and do a couple things like that you should go with a liveCD like DSL or vector. however i would suggest that you continue with linux from that point because of the many advantages it has over windows especially somehting older like win 2k
