I have Counter-Strike 1.5 running on my machine, but I use Slackware 9.0. It was a long hard slog, but I got there in the end. The most difficult part is getting OpenGL working. Once you have done that, its pretty simple to get CS working. I have an nVidia card which have drivers written for Linux. What kind of graphics card do you have?

i think the answer your looking for is:

you need wine or winex to be able to play counter-strike in linux...
and here is a half-life HOWto to get you started.. :D

I finally got counter-strike working the other day but in game the graphics flicker and no sound I followed that HOWto its says to type gl_ztrick 0 and _snd_mixahead "0.23" but that didnt work and I dont seem to have a config.cfg on my Counter-Strike directory. What you think the problem is?
I have an ati radoen card.
