Define support.
You cannot back up the Oracle raw file. You need to use Oracle utilities to create the dump that will be backed up. That will go to another filesystem/partition. Amanda will back that up. Linking the two activities is a timing thing. You can cron them both allowing enough time for the Oracle dump to work, or you can cron a script that does the oracle dump, waiting for it to complete, and then runs Amanda.
for how you might integrate it if you want to go further than just running the Oracle dump on a cron and giving it enough time before the Amanda cron (which is the easier way). In either case you will have to either know Oracle extremely well or you will have to coordinate closely with the Oracle Database Administrator.
