help me get tightvnc server to work

Hello, I have installed tightvnc on my mandriva linux 10.2. The viewer portion works fine. I can remote control my windows xp box with no problem. Now, I can't seem to get the tightvnc to work so I can remote control my mandriva box from another machine. Please offer any help. I think I just need to adjust the settings or something.

Have you opened port 5900/tcp in the firewall on the remote computer?

Yes I have. On the remote computer I am able to remote control other machines just not this one with Linux on it.

Does anyone use VNC with Linux here?
