Help Me!

Hi,

I am new to linux. I heard about it from a friend of mine and researched it on the internet. I really want to dual-boot it on my computer but am having such a hard time. I have use the KNOPPIX live cd and like the desktop and interaction very much and want to switch at some point. Now i have SUSE 9.1 and want to put it on my hard drive but am having lots of trouble getting it to partition correctly. Now, I am using windows xp pro. and it is partitioned on a ntfs format. It has given me an error after it was done installing and does not work. could someone please help me with this problem.

thanks

When posting, can you give more informative headings/titles to your threads, so that people know exactly what your problem is. Topics like "help me" are not very good because they don't give any info about your problem/question.

And a lot of people will just ignore it because of that.

Anyway, I'm glad you got it to work. As mentioned both Gaim and Kopete can handle mutliple (most) IM protocols including Aim. In KDE Kopete might be the better choice.

lol..... if you open a console or use the run command and type aim it should start, then u can add the icon in to your k-menu / appilcation menu

(((as long as you installed aim w/ the rpm or ./configure , makeinstall ,,, properly)))
