Unhappy help me


finally i go inside GUI of linux today
while i am a root and navigating menues of "System" i select to change Desktop from GNEOM to another as atry he told that it'll
affect after restarting
when restart it go into empty desktop not asking me for id&pass
now
how to return to my GNEOM i have not KDE
I am new to linux and use RedHat 7.2 is ther is a tool from text mode to set my default Desktop interface but can i still acess textmode i have not startup

it's GNOME, i presume english isn't your native tongue.

on redhat you should just be able to use "switchdesk" to change the default desktop.

and in future PLEASE use USEFUL thread titles, "help me" is of no use at all. why not something like "how do i change back to kde from gnome?" ?

yes it is not my native language ,sorry

now where i can type switchdesk i have no command console or prompt i loaded directly to desktop
how can i do that

give the command
"switchdesk GNOME"
this will change your deafault desktop environment to GNOME.
better to enter in shell not GUI
then type "startx" to enter in your default GUI.
edit your file
"/etc/inittab" as root
and make your default run level to 3 instead of 5.
