Help installing Jahshaka 2.0 in Linux Mint

I need some help installing Jahshaka in Linux Mint 16 Petra with the Cinnimon desktop. When I go to install it the recommended way:
Code:

./configure
make
make install

I get an error when I run ./configure:
Code:

qmake: could not find a Qt installation of ''
Any idea on how to fix this?

Thanks ahead of time!

have you read the text files( in the downloaded source code) called "README" and "INSTALL" ,and read the install instructions on the web site ?

Then did you install all the required prerequisites
one of those , from the error, is installing qt and qmake

also you are aware that 2.0
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jahs...hshaka-source/
is from 2006 and has NOT!!! been updated in 8 years

it is going to be a bit difficult to build and install on mint 16
a operating system 1.5 GENERATIONS of software newer

now there is a version one year newer 2.2
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jahs...iles/jahshaka/

with a Ubuntu download
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jahs...ahshaka/0.2.2/
--- might never run on mint 16 it is 7 years old after all .

what is it you want to use this program for ?

i am betting there are video editing software already in the Mint 16 software repos

I want to use Jahshaka as a linux substitute for Apple LiveType. If I had the money, I would have bought Adobe Premier and After Effects, ect. for my PC.

i would have a look at Blender 2.70 for that

blender would be in the mint repos
or from here
http://www.blender.org/download
a video on 3d text in blender
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYXSo2xDUPE
it is 2 years old but still using the current blender API
