Are you using more than just Stable/Sarge repositories?

Usually a dependency issue using APT/SYnaptic is because one the dependcies isn't installable because it is only available in testing or unstable.

Posting the actual error msg will help people give you more detail info.

I will post errors later tonight, I am trying to use just stable, I did try to put testing and unstable to get the packages that couldn't find.

seems like the packages were some kde stuff.

anyway
I will post the errors later.

Thank you.

Seems like the package is messed up.

I tried just using Stable, then just Testing, then just unstable and finally a combination of All 3 it always gives a bunch of needs so and so but it is uninstallable errors. The errors change slightly depending on which repo you use but no matter what it refuses to install using APT/Synaptic.

You might try using Gnucash instead. Or try installing it from source:

I have tried Gnucash, I don't like it.

If I install from source, will I have to install all the depends manually?

Thanks,

Quote:
KMyMoney is a KDE application and should therefore run on any machine that has the KDE desktop environment installed: GNU/Linux, xBSD...

Nevertheless, the following has to be considered:

KMyMoney < 0.7 needs KDE 3.0 or above
KMyMoney >= 0.7 needs KDE 3.2 or above
According to their page the only requirements are KDE and:
Mandatory for development

* GNU make ≥ 3.79
* QT Development ≥ 3.2
* KDE Development ≥ 3.2

I have the latest KDE 3.5, so I don't need

* GNU make ≥ 3.79
* QT Development ≥ 3.2
* KDE Development ≥ 3.2

to just install and run the program?

Thanks
